Location: Savegre, Costa Rica
Forested finca 1/2 hour from downtown Quepos...Maintained and adjacent to the village of El Silencio and on the road to the proposed lake of the Savegre River. Electricity and "city" water. "Land lines" phones available.
Mostly mountainous with adequate flat land for development. New fencing surrounding the entire finca. Two twelve month streams cross the property and trails with cable support leading down to town twelve month waterfalls.
At a corner of the finca is an Indian (Huetar Tribe) pantheon and burial site with inscribed rocks set in a star-like pattern. (The name "El silencio" was commonly used by the Huetars for their cementeries and holy places.)
From the hills are views of the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio.
Wild life abounds including toucans, scarlet macaw, tepezcuintles, and peccaries.
The forest is composed of old grown in the canyons, teak trees of all ages a substantial stand of melina, many varieties of fruit trees and extensive new plantings for re-forestation.
